Welcome!
Welcome!
Hello, everyone:
Please note, Rackspace, which hosts our email servers, had a major email outage over the last 48 hours. Unbeknown to us, as some of the email continued to trickle in, nearly 700 emails were not delivered to us in a timely fashion. if you’ve emailed us in the last 48 hours (1-7-13 through 1-9-13) and we have not replied to you, please wait one more day—until sometime tomorrow, 1/10/13, and then email us again, in case some of the email was truly lost. We apologize for the inconvenience to you. We are working our way through quote requests and other emails as rapidly as we are able. Thank you!
T’was the Night Before Christmas…
...and all through the shop,
all we minions were working,
until ready to drop.
(Please feel free to read the rest of our annual Holiday Doggerel by clicking HERE.)
Welcome to Booknook.biz. As our bit of poetry tries to say, above, we’ll be on our official annual “DownTime” from midnight, December 24th, to 9:00 a.m., January 3rd (not the 2nd, mind you), MST. This means that I and the Crew will all be off, or working limited hours. We do run part-time production crews through the DownTime, so that books aren’t delayed, and Indy, my Customer Accounts Manager, will be in the office handling email inquiries and issues for an hour or two a day. Leonard, our Production Manager, will be working with the Crews on any production matters, also for an hour or two per day.
We’ll be back in full swing on the morning of the 3rd of January, 2013. We thank you for honoring our annual break; after the huge quantity of books we need to push out every year before the big Holiday buying season for ebooks, we need the time off.
Thank you! —Hitch (Kimberly Hitchens, Owner/Founder of Booknook.biz)

{image_1}About the Book that we're rooting for, here at Booknook:
"Annie Graceland's a baker with a pinch of psychic ability. She's empathic--can feel other people's lusts and desires in her own body. No biggie if she experiences someone else's cravings for dark chocolate or a foot massage. But Annie's recently acquired a spookier skill--she can see and talk to ghosts. Much to her dismay, they can also talk to her--nagging her incessantly to solve their murders.
Annie's happily dating hunky Detective Raphael Campillio in Los Angeles, when her mom signs her up to be a judge at…

The New Site is Launched
I know: you never thought it would happen. For those of you new to the site, you of course won't know what I'm talking about; but our clients of the past 4-5 years have seen and grown accustomed to a different site, and even a slightly different coffee cup. Worse, they've had to listen to me telling them for nearly the entire past year that we were revamping it, which is why our author client lists and completed book lists weren't up-to-date, with almost 1200 books not listed.
The Loch Ness What?
I think some folks started to…

T'was the Night Before Christmas...
...and all through the shop,
all we minions were working,
until ready to drop.
The ebooks were flying,
the covers were spare,
The edits were crazy,
with "one more thing I must share!"
We waited for Santa,
'Cuz we love old Saint Nick,
But Hitch made us work,
Waving round an old stick!
So slave we all did,
And made all your books,
So that Hitch would say now,
that we're off the hook.
